Alpine, Porsche, Ferrari among the entries Le Mans Virtual Series
Media technology company Motorsport games teased a list of this year’s $ 250,000 (~ £ 181,383) Le Mans Virtual Series participants which include some of the best known names in the world of motorsport and simulation racing.
At least 38 participants are expected, including several pilots for Alpine, Porch, and Ferrari. Twelve different nations are represented on the entry list from Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.

By outing, the winners of the WEC and European Le Mans Series race and / or championship titles (past and present) include Rebellion race, JOTA, Panis Race, Project Team 1 and WRT team. Endurance racing teams will include, but are not limited to, GR Racing, Proton competition, D’Station Racing, and ARC Bratislava.
Entries will be split between two car categories: Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) and Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LMGTE), with 21 and 17 cars respectively.
LMGTE offers participants a choice of Aston Martin Vantage GTE, BMW M8 GTE, Corvette C8.R, Ferrari 488 GTE and Porsche 911 RSR GTE cars. Leading brands such as BMW, Ferrari and Porsche will be represented by their own official esports teams as well as by Red Bull Racing Esports, BMW Team Redline, TESLA R8G Esports, and GR Wolf Race.
Real world racers will be joined by a number of successful sim racing competitors including Yas heat, Mahle Racing Team, Race Alpine pouch, that of Romain Grosjean R8G Esports team, Floyd ByKolles-Burst, Williams esports, Redline team, Red Bull Racing Esports and Jenson Button Simsport rocket. These teams will compete with an ORECA 07 LMP2. Williams rebellion esports, the winners of the winning partnership of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual 2020 will come back to defend their title.
A full list of Le Mans Virtual Series entries and drivers will be released on September 14. 20 more cars are expected to join the event in the season finale January 15-16 at the Autosport International 2022 motorsport show.

Le Mans Virtual Series will feature some of the world’s most famous circuits: Monza, Spa, Nürburgring, Sebring and Le Mans.
Following the success of the Virtual Le Mans 2020 race, this year’s sim racing competition has been expanded with a new format and a prize pool of $ 250,000. The series will feature four events taking place between September and December using the Factor 2 sim racing platform.
Esports Insider Says: Professional pilots are already using racing simulation to familiarize themselves with the tracks and practice their skills. This makes sim racing a natural way for real teams and esports organizations to continue engagement and competition even when in-person events have resumed for the foreseeable future.
