Valtteri Bottas may be in his final races as Lewis Hamilton’s teammate at Mercedes, but team manager Toto Wolff is happy with his outgoing driver’s recent performance.

“Our goal is to build a strong weekend, starting with FP1 and building one session at a time,” Wolff said. “Lewis is in the tenth championship battle of his F1 career, and he’s laser focused on what he has to deliver in the next eight races.

“As for Valtteri, he’s driving better than ever, as we’ve seen at Monza – and he’ll be going full blast every weekend. There is a calm determination within the squad right now and the commercial end of a season, fighting for the championships, is exactly what we appreciate the most.
