“The Wizards have become an integral part of our club, offering up-and-coming racers a chance to compete in proper team games on race night. Most of our Wizards have progressed from My First Skid, which has been very successful in attracting new riders to the sport. We have now reached a stage where we have enough runners to track two Development League level teams and we plan to bring this forward in 2022.

“We now need to come up with a catchy nickname for our new team, and we invite supporters to submit their ideas. We will award an appropriate prize to the supporter whose suggestion reflects our values and the enthusiasm we believe in.

Anyone interested in suggesting a nickname for the new development team should email Wightlink Warriors press officer Rob Dyer: [email protected].

The deadline is March 14, 2022.
