RandMark steals the show at Dullstroom Stage Race

The RandMark club recently took part in the Dullstroom Stage Race in Mpumalanga, where runners covered a total distance of 225 km with an elevation gain of over 3,500.

Club spokesman Lee Kotze said the race, organized by Stofpad Events, was a great success.

The course was marked and the water points had everything the runners needed to complete the stage race.

Locals were in charge of watering holes and it was fully stocked with muffins, coffee, coke, pancakes, energy drinks and jellies,” Thinus Forbes said.

Kotze said the atmosphere of the farming community was felt as soon as they arrived.

“It was a great experience worth every penny. Our entry fee included a t-shirt, socks, bike wash after each stage, and lunch,” Forbes said.

The award ceremony was a highlight for the Randmark Mountain Bikers. There was such great camaraderie between the participants and the staff, and he would like everyone to participate in next year’s race.
